Full Story: http://www.davecarrollmusic.com/story... - In the spring of 2008, Sons of Maxwell were traveling to Nebraska for a one-week tour and my Taylor guitar was witnessed being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers in Chicago. I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. United: Song 1 is the first of those songs. United: Song 2 has been written and video production is underway. United: Song 3 is coming. I promise. Follow me at http://twitter.com/DaveCarroll . 2014 Grammy Awards

Watching the Grammys always seems kind of like listening to a radio station that your car radio is stuck on. You cannot change the station and just have to listen to an enormous amount of bullshit before you hear a good song. It goes without saying, that this year was no exception. Neil Patrick Harris should have been the host for the entire evening. This year brought justice to new artists like Lorde and that chick that trumped Taylor Swift. Carole King and Sara whats her name should have done a Carole King song! Great camera work - the shot, by the way, from Stevie Wonder’s sunglasses to a young lady's breasts that ironically he could not see. Jared Leto actually gave the only sincere introduction of the evening for Metallica. If you saw it, you can draw your own assessment. Yo Money! Daft Punk won record of the year and they deserve every second of that album and the weight of all records sold in gold.

Madonna - When did left-wing narcissism infiltrate an awards show that is supposed to be about music? The next thing you know, I am going to be forced to have relations with a black man for fear that I am a homophobic racist. Very inappropriate use of a forum that celebrates music and turns it into a political forum. This is why I do not watch award shows.

Billie Joe Armstrong doing anything in the same sentence as an ‘Everly Brother’ makes me want to burn down the childhood garage that he used to jam in. Graham Nash is probably gouging out his eardrums with a fork if he heard this bullshit.

Queens of the Stone age – Awesome until the performance was infiltrated with fucking ads riding over possibly the best performance of the evening. I sleep at night, knowing that I know right from wrong.

Lorde Best Pop Solo Performance goes to... Lorde! You can call her Queen Bee!
