Touch The Sound
2004 (NR) 1 hr 39 minutes
Extraordinary solo percussionist Evelyn Glennie is the
subject of this documentary which explores the connections between human
sensation, time, sound and rhythm. Glennie, an accomplished musician who’s been
deaf since age 8, is so sensitive to vibration that she essentially hears
through her sense of touch. Here, she’s captured in improvisational solo and
group performances in intriguing spaces – from a New York City rooftop to a Zen
garden.
